These days a lot of people spent most of their time on the web and you will occasionally here comments about TV being dead. Who needs television when you have the almost endless possibilities of the web? The internet gives you the opportunity to watch a host of TV programmes no matter where you are in the world and you are not stuck to any kind of schedule. You can even find a lot of shows that are only available online and this is very exciting. The fact is that it is relatively cheap to make online shows and this means that practically any of us can make them. The online world is really great because not only can we get to watch a host of amazing shows online but we can also create and star in them too.
It would probably be a bit premature to right off television altogether though. While the internet has been growing and developing, those responsible for television technology have not been sitting back and watching; they have been taking care of their own developments. As long as we can access High Definition television and the amount of channels that we have at the moment it is unlikely that people won’t want to continue watching their TVs. Even those who spend a lot of time surfing the web will at least have the TV on in the background. There are also those people who have no interest in spending their time online for long and much prefer their television. For the moment anyway, we can relax because television is not going anywhere but who knows what might happen in ten or twenty years. It is actually more likely that the world of television and online shows will probably become closer than ever. Things like Google TV will likely mean that in the future watching TV will be a far more interactive experience.
