Next James Bond movie release delayed for better box office.

If your looking forward to the new James Bond movie “Quantum of Solace” like me you will have to wait an extra week for its release. The movie was set to release on 7 November 2008, but as it stands now the movie will open on 14 Nov 08.

The reason behind the change in release date according to Variety is because originally “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” was going to open on 21 Nov 08, but has been pushed to July 09. With the change in Harry Potter’s release date, Sony and Warner Brothers figure that “Quantum of Solace” will have better play right through Christmas.

If your like me the wait is worth it and at least James Bond isn’t being delayed like Harry Potter or Star Trek.

What are your thoughts on these major movies like Harry Potter and Star Trek changing their release dates and were there any movies that should have been released before or after the summer and not during the summer?
