There are many people looking for actors, you just have to know where these people are located. Many of them are not big Hollywood names, and many don’t have money to give you, but the experience you get can be well worth it.

If you go to any town or city you can find a local theater, many of these local theaters are where the local actors come together to do shows. As an actor this could be a great opportunity. Even if you are not into the theater scene and you want to do movies its still all right, because you will be getting experience. If you don’t have a lot of experience than the experience you get will be invaluable.

Another place that is great to find people looking for actors are school. You maybe asking why schools. A lot of these films have very low budgets and you may not get paid or paid very little, gaining experience is what you’re aiming to get. With this experience you can add it to your resume, which is something you should be constantly updating.

Be sure to treat acting as not just a hobby but also as a serious career. Acting is a skillset, so always be improving your skills. Being talented will only take you so much in the industry. The industry’s very cold hearted and their are many talented people so you have to work hard and stay focused if you want to succeed. You will also have to develop and indifference to criticism and not allow stressful times to get you unfocused. If you stay focused on your goals and keep motivated you will find those companies looking for actors.
